茶道部 初釜
クラブ活動
1月11日(木)の放課後、茶道部の活動の一環として
初釜の茶会を開催し、ブリティッシュスクールイントウキョウの生徒の皆さんをお招きしました。
初釜とは、新年をお祝いするための、年が明けて最初に催される茶会のことです。
3年生から５年生の茶道部員たちは、ブリティッシュスクールの皆さんへお点前を披露しました。
その後、一緒にお茶をたてお菓子をいただきながら、お互いの学校生活についてなど、楽しい歓談の時間を持つことができました。
茶道を通じて、お互いの文化や生活について考える良いきっかけとなりました。
On January 11th, the tea ceremony club hosted an activity for the students from the British School in Tokyo. The first ceremony at the beginning of the new year is called “Hatsugama” where we celebrate the advent of the new spring.
Before serving tea, our club members from 3rd to 5th performed the tea ceremony (Otemae) in front of the students from the BST.
After that, they made tea together and chatted about school life and other things in a relaxed atmosphere.
Showa’s tea ceremony club members were eager to communicate with the BST students in English. It was a great chance to learn about other cultures and lifestyles by talking in English while enjoying tea in the peaceful setting of our tea ceremony room.
