生徒の皆さんへ
今日の話のキーワードは「歴史を作る人」
生徒の皆さんが通う、この昭和の学園は、学父人見圓吉先生が、世の光となれる女性を育てるために設立されて、100年を迎えました。
今日は、午前中100周年創立記念式、午後は100周年記念シンポジウムが予定されています。
９５０名のご来賓をお招きして開催する記念式は当初の予定では中高の皆さんが合唱で参加の予定でしたが、コロナウイルス感染防止の観点から、4年生の石川響さんが代表して祝歌を独唱します。
 
記念シンポジウムのテーマは「女性リーダーは世界を変える」・・・このシンポジウムも非常に興味深い内容です。坂東先生にお願いして後日皆さんにもお伝えできるようにしますね。
 
さて、今日の本題
これからさらに次の100年をスタートにあたり、今日皆さんに決心してほしいことがあります
それは、この話の最初に伝えた新しい昭和の「歴史を作る人」になることです
 
悠久の歴史を誇った中国がヨーロッパの国々の実質的な植民地になっていった時、国を閉ざして世界を知ることなく300年続いた江戸時代、それでも、ヨーロッパの国々のアジアへの進出の波を受け止めながらも、新しい近代日本へと変化させていったのは「知って、考えて、行動した」若者たちのエネルギーでした。変化に対応できるエネルギーと知恵こそが歴史を守り積み上げる。
歴史は、新しいことに挑戦して、イノベーションを積み上げてこそ作られていくものです。
いま、日本の教育界では新しい学力観のもとGIGAスクール構想や大学入試改革が進められています。諸外国に比べて10年も遅れているICTを活用した教育、多様性に対応できる能力の開発などが早急に求められています。
これから確実に、日本社会の主役となる労働世代の人口は半減し、かつ世界中の人たちと協働していくことが求められる時代へとすすみます。その中で生きていくあなたたちはどんな力が必要なのか、先生方も真剣に議論しています。
 
昭和中高が、今年をスタートに、さらにこれからの100年を素晴らしい学校として続いていくためには、歴史を守るだけでなく、昭和の歴史を作っていかなければなりません。
そう、その歴史を作るのが皆さんなのです

教えてもらうのを待つだけでなく知的好奇心をもって学ぶ
異なる文化や考えの人たちと対話してつながり自分の世界を広げる
自分の考えをもってそれをきちんと言葉で伝えることができる

いつもこの言葉と、「清き気品、篤き至誠、高き識見」校訓三則を胸に、昭和の新しい「歴史を作る人」として学校生活に全力で取り組みましょう
